Nazri insist that Malaysian elections are as free and fair as any other countries. However he never mentioned the countries he compared Malaysian elections to and when the comparisons were made. 30 years ago when all our regional neighbours were under military rule Malaysian elections seems like a lotus standing out of a mud pond! However with the passage of time the regional neighbours have democratised-it is the Malaysia’s turn to play the mud pond! Look specifically on our elections: independence of Election Commission-most EC in our regional neighbours are appointed by Parliament-not by the King at the suggestion of the PM-who is also a player in the elections! The 1-sided media coverage, rampant  public allocations before elections, civil servants making number for BN’s campaign rally etc. No wonder the Commonwealth judged our elections as `free but not fair’ in 1991 ie Failed!

Is there anything other than politics that shield his view from the allegations of mega frauds in Sarawak? But the more the obvious is avoided the more people will like to know.
