titbits from kapit/Bernama At Its Worst

Pertaining to Bernama Report (14 April) – It was reported that Dato Seri Annuar – after 20 minutes into his ceramah was interupted by a longhouse chief who asked him about his sodomy case and the omega watch and therefore he(Dato Seri Annuar) had to cut short his speech and go away. The truth is, Dato Seri Annuar spoke for about 1 hour.

This was reporting at its worst. Quoting resources without thinking and without verifying the source. No wonder Bernama is labelled as the mouth piece and propaganda machine of UMNO and BN.

First and foremost: Dato Seri Annuar did not give his ceramah at Rh. Edison Bugap, Melekun. (After inquiry, Edison Bugap, the longhouse chief had yet to receive his Tuai Rumah appointment letter). It was at Rh. Jugo (ex-Tuai Rumah).

Secondly, Edison Bugap did ask the MC for permission to ask Dato Seri Annuar after Dato Seri had officially finish his ceramah, and was already seated.

Thirdly, the question was scripted by someone, and Edison Bugap was merely a mouthpiece. Had he understood these questions and as a respected Tuai Rumah, he would not have asked these questions. It was obvious that he(Edison Bugap) was uneasy and looking very silly when asking these questions – as indicated by his body language and eye contact. He was not looking at Dato Seri but elsewhere with both hands in his pocket. So much for someone who wants to be the Tuai Rumah!!!!

Fourthly, the so-called resident as quoted by Bernama obviously didn’t know how to count. Obviously not 120 as reported. The crowd who came that night was close to a thousand, despite a heavy downpour. Had the police given the permit for Dato Seri to give his speech at the Town Square, the crowd would have been bigger. Dato Seri visit this time was really anticipated by the people of Kapit, especially the chinese. Unfortunately, they were deprived of the opportunity to witness and hear first hand Dato Seri’s firebrand speech.

Anf finally, it was Dato Chua Jui Ming, Dato Dr. Tan, and YB M. Ravi (from Port Dickson) who had their ceramah at Rh. Edison Bugap on 9th April 2011. And the crowd were more than 300 that night.

Despite what Bernama and all the mainstream newspaper tried to portray and twist around, Dato Seri Annuar’s ceramah was always well recieved and his firebrabd speech was an eye-opener to his listeners. Nothing hurts more than the truth. It seems this time BN is really scared. For BN/PBB/UMNO:

“AND NOW THE END IS NEAR, AND SO YOU FACE, YOUR FINAL CURTAIN,

BN, DON’T STOOP SO LOW, JUST PACK YOUR BAG, AND OFF YOU GO.

REGRETS, YOU HAVE ALOT, DON’T UNDERESTIMATE, THE INFLUENCE OF INTERNET,

AND GO, BN WILL GO, PAKATAN RAKYAT HAS ITS WAY.
