Clash between oil palm company and natives resulted in 4 dead & 3 injured-a good case to remember(update)

Taib’s policy to give Provisional Leases in settled NCR lands cause clashes all over Sarawak’s interior! It is not unexpected that the clashes would 1 day get physical-bloodily physical! Actually this had happened before-in 1999! The Taib regime should do well to remember the case in the light of the Tebedu case where machineries were burnt:

1999-09-03 | Yesterday, 1st September, 1999, at about 3.00 p.m. a violent clash between Iban natives from two longhouse communities, namely, Rumah Busang and Rumah Bali in the Miri Division, Sarawak and workers of a contractor company, ie, a contractor to Sarawak Oil Palm (SOP) Berhad resulted in four workers of the contractor company being killed and three others injured.
