It is simple and straightforward.
It provides check and balance.
Prolonged and unchecked rule lead to tyranny & dictatorship.
No politician or leader can be trusted.
Trust but verify.
Look at Chen Shui Bien the former President of Taiwan who is jailed for 18 years for corruption.
Look at ex- Filipino President Gloria Arroya Macapagal who is now standing trial for corruption.
In God we trust. Trust no man or woman in power.
