Tribal leaders warned not to vote opposition in violation of Malaysia’s Constitution

(Bernama) – Any tribal leader who supports the opposition in the next Sarawak state election will face immediate termination of service as the action is a very serious misconduct, said Sarawak Infrastructure Development and Communication Minister Michael Manyin.

TO the Malaysian government, particularly the Sarawak administration, the gentle and softly spoken Penan are a domestic problem. To the chief minister, Abdul Taib Mahmud, the Penan are a thorny issue as they hamper his efforts for maximum commercial exploitation of Sarawak. But to the Penan, the jungle is both their home and store-room. That is why they are resisting attempts to move them from their own domain.

Dakwaan empayar RM3b, aduan SPRM dibuat

Tiga rakyat Sarawak hari ini membuat laporan kepada Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) di Putrajaya berhubung dakwaan rasuah dan salah guna kuasa oleh ketua menterinya Tan Sri Taib Mahmud.

Tiga pengadu itu – John Brian Anthony, Ting Cek Ming dan Kung Chin Chin menggesa suruhanjaya itu menyiasat ’empayar’ perniagaan Taib dan keluarganya yang didakwa bernilai ‘lebih RM3 bilion’ berdasarkan apa yang dilaporkan di blog sarawakreport.org.

Aduan dibuat kepada pegawai kanan SPRM, Ranjit Singh.

Ini adalah aduan kedua yang dibuat berhubung perkara yang sama. Aduan pertama dibuat kepada SPRM di Kuching, semalam oleh Ahmad Nazib Johari.

It’s mighty suspicious that Umno has the most members not in its traditional stronghold of Johor but in Sabah!

The Umno website reported on Monday party vice president Mohd Shafie Apdal as saying Sabah has 449,805 Umno members, followed by Johor with 428,663 and Selangor 414,142 in third place. He said the updated membership roll shows altogether 3,159,484 members nationwide.
