Waiting, waiting...

Sarawak’s Chief Minister openly asked the PM Najib to go for simultaneous Parliament and states elections so that Sarawak will be spared the onslaught of Opposition’s firepower-but the PM who have some other more important agenda in mind is not playing along. He reportedly did not ruled it out-and how can he when it involves the `fixed deposit’ state of Sarawak? But he can keep the Sarawakian CM  guessing till the last minute-when the state elections must be held by July this year! He want to see how desperate the CM can be-and what kind of concessions the CM will give to get his protection from the combined Opposition attacks!

Flood water at the level as the oil palm fruits!

The heavy downpour over a few days early this week had caused 2 blockades in Niah-1 in Rumah Ranggon and another in Rumah Bili, to be suspended for the time being. The flood cut off the 2 communities -located on either side of a river, to take a rest from the blockade. It is meaningless to continue anyway since the workers of the company which encroach on their land in the name of joint-ventures are also stopped from their work by the floods. The residents blamed the flood-which come annually, on the unregulated logging up-stream.

In the case of Port Klang the EC claim that they have not been notified by the Speaker-which was immediately rebuked by the Selangor Speaker; and in the Merlimau case the EC claimed to have received a notice of the vacancy of the seat while the state rep is still struggling in the life support system! EC got it wrong on both occasions-but see what the EC chief did: The EC apologised to the Melaka Chief Minister-but how about to the Selangor State Government? See 2 reports below to find out the EC’s 2 faces! A strange looking map of the Merlimau constituency seems to suggest a gerry-mandaring attempt to cobble together disparate geographies to squeeze some advantage to the ruling parties! With such a partial referee how can Sarawak expect a fair election?

ADUN Merlimau, Datuk Mohd Hidhir Abu Hassan dikebumikan di tanah perkuburan Islam di Chinchin, Jasin, Melaka selepas solat Jumaat hari ini.Lebih 1,000 jemaah menghadiri solat jenazah yang diimamkan oleh Mufti Kerajaan Negeri Melaka Datuk Rashid Redza Mohd Salleh.
