There haas been much talk by BN on how Pakatan Rakyat make use of Bersih rally for its own electoral purpose. This can be put in its place since the political bias is obvious. Now let’s see what the Buku Jingga -the Pakatan’s common policy platform says about free and fair elections. I checked through the entire document the only reference that remotely mention it is these precious line:
1. Reform the main national institutions of government, such as the Election Commission, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, the Attorney General’s Chambers and the Malaysian Royal Police Force to introduce transparency and restore accountability of government.
There is no other mention. Speak to PR reps in all the 3 component parties to ask if they should say more about free and fair elections that people risk many things to fight for on July 9th and beyond. Of course it does not help that the BN which PR try to fight has nothing about electoral reform to speak about.
Generally the Buku Jingga, on all policy matters, is a vague document shrouded by a mist.
