The tax-payers supported news agency has a glaring problem of not being able to differentiate what is political news-such that many such news appear under its `general news’ category! This may camouflage the real extent of political news than its appearance.Judge for yourself how a news that praise BN as the best choice of government is not a political news! Bernama has undergone a so called rebranding exercise-but the rebranded identity is still the same ie a BN’s party organ that somehow want the non-party tax-payers to foot its bills!

BN Best Choice For People As Ruling Government – Muhyiddin
KOTA KINABALU, 30 Oct (Bernama) — The people have no better choice than Barisan Nasional (BN) as the government for this country, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said the people were better cared for and in fact, were fortunate to be under BN’s administration compared with the situation in many other countries.
“In the 54 years since Malaysia’s independence and within a bit shorter period since Sabah’s independence, we have progressed to a much better position.
“The prevailing peace, stability and prosperity is the result of the wisdom of our leaders and supported by the people who uphold the principles of cooperation, unity and mutual respect,” he said when launching the state-level Premier Briefing Session, here, today.
Muhyiddin said in a country with a plural society, the national leaders since the early days had recognised the cultural and religious diversity as a strength in developing this country.
He said the government’ success under BN in uniting and improving the lot of the country’s multiracial and multireligious population had been recognised by the whole world.
“We have rejected the theory of foreign intellectuals that a plural society like Malaysia’s would be backward and always not peaceful and calm.
“But we have accepted our dissimilarities as part of our lives to move forward and develop rapidly,” he said.
Muhyiddin also said that since the country’s independence, the poverty rate had been reduced as a result of the policies planned and implemented by the BN government.
He said the government’s greatest challenge at the time of independence was reducing the high poverty rate due to the greed of the colonialists who took away this country’s wealth to their own country.
“But the situation in Malaysia all these years is far better than in some other countries where there is chaos due to poverty although these countries are rich in natural resources.”
Muhyiddin also explained the government’s measures to lessen the burden of the people due to the rising cost of living.
“Many have said that when the people have given their mandate to BN, the prices of most necessities would go up when in fact, the government largely bears the costs through subsidies.”
He said Malaysia was the only country that gave huge subsidies in order to protect the welfare of its people.
Muhyiddin also called on the people of Sabah to continue to give their full support to Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman so that Sabah would continue to move forward and prosper under the BN government.
